A Kannada litterateur present on the occasion termed the Sahih-ul-Bukhari’s Kannada edition a gem in the Kannada literature. The compilation of the Prophet’s (s) sayings has been translated into Kannada by M. Saadullah from Mangalore.
The book-release ceremony commenced with the recitation from the Holy Qur’an and Hadees by Maulana Hafiz Azharullah Khan Qasmi, who also read out its Kannada translation. K.M. Ashraf, Secretary, JIH Karnataka, briefed the activities of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind and how the outfit established Shanti Prakashana 24 years ago. The publishing house has brought out 250 different titles on Islam so far.
