This first one of these I bought died within a week. I got it replaced fast by NewEgg.
I'm on my second one and in less than a year the HDD failed. I'm writing this review now because of that failure. Now I have to purchase a new HDD and figure out how to install it.
The HP firmware is terrible and bloaty. Popups interrupt often with unnecessary garbage that the firmware wants to show you.

Other Thoughts: Great idea. Terrible firmware. Shoddy hardware. I will not buy HP again.
Pros: Great laptop Bought it for my wife and she love it. She using it every day and it is a real good 'puter. Like that it have BluRay, only computer here that have that of 5 computer hehe..
Cons: Little problem with the video some time it get blurry and you have to tap on the left side to get tyhe picture back to normal. and it happen 2 month after the warrenty whent out. Typical or what.
Other Thoughts: Like the case it is easy to keep clean.
Dual-core Processor List
Cons: In less than three days of ownership I had a white screen and could no longer operate this laptop. I could hear the program operating but I couldn't gain access nor see the display screen. Since this is a limited replacement be so afraid. I haven't received my replacement. I thought it was good for business to put out quality products, my bad.
Pros: Great display and powerful core; every feature you'd want.
Cons: Within a week I'm having to replace it. The system completely failed.
Other Thoughts: NewEgg was quick to send a replacement and has great customer service, but this is the 4th defective product I've gotten from them.
Pros: good price and speedy delivery.
Cons: The screen looks washed out and has the worst laptop speaker ever. It sounds muffled and hard to hear words and is not loud at all.
Other Thoughts: I am sending it back!
Comments: Like all new HPs (or Pavilions at least) the second drive bay is a little misleading. To use the second drive bay you need not just a caddy that is not included, but a caddy that has a cable kit. (and a cable kit that is different than the primary drive bay). You have to get the caddy and cable kit with the longer cable. HP wants $51 + shipping for this. NewModeUS (dot^com) has a kit for much less. Be careful buying one on that auction site named for a digital saltwater inlet because if it is a kit for the primary drive the cable will not fit.
Comments: I went from a Mac to this PC and I couldn't be happier. This does everything I need and more. Great value!!
